Ron achieved so much throughout his life, his determination, intelligence, interest in research, resilience , humour, and moto 'there is not such a word as can't', coping with Poland Syndrome in an age where it was not accepted to be different, made him such an incredible role model to many. He was a loving husband to Hilda for nearly 70 years, and an incredible father and grandfather to his children and granddaughters.
To be diagnosed with Poland Syndrome at the age of 84 years old, and with the help and support PIP UK gave him and our family, he felt accepted, and could relate to people who looked like him, and understood the pain, physically and mentally. PIP UK is very close to his heart, and his wish is to help future generation with Poland Syndrome through research, support, and help.
